A Mystery Block may drop up to 50 gems when broken. Breaking a Mystery Block will not drop the block itself or any seed.

- The Mystery Block's design is based on the ? Block, one of the many blocks found in the Mario franchise. It is commonly seen floating in mid-air, often containing helpful items such as coins.
- A Mystery Block or its seed has a chance to be dropped when a Winterfest Calendar - 2017 or Winterfest Calendar - 2018 is harvested.
- When spawned through the Magical Seeds special event, Mystery Block Seeds will only stay in the world for 60 seconds, until the event ends.
- Prior to the addition of the Magical Seeds special event, Mystery Block Seeds that are part of a special event stay for an indefinite amount of time.
