Artifacts are wearable items that were added as part of the Hidden Riches update. They have their own accessory slot, along with a purple frame and a red equip checkmark.
Ancestral Artifacts
Ancestral artifacts can be upgraded to add special visual effects and gain more powerful abilities (up to level 6).
Non-ancestral Artifacts
Non-ancestral artifacts are worn in the same slot as the ancestral artifacts, but cannot be upgraded.
